G7 CERTIFIED PROOFING
G7 Certification was developed by IDEAlliance. This organization has been developing, educating and validating best practices
in printing and publishing for more than 40 years. They developed the G7 specifications and oversee printer certification.
G7 specifications ensure quality by helping to ensure grayscale reproduction across multiple devices, processes and media.
PEEQ imaging has been maintaining and testing all our inkjet printers to ensure we are following the standards and are within the guidelines for G7 specifications. We are also a G7 certified facility which can only be achieved by having an outside color management expert come in and observe our calibration methodology and examining our printed proofs.
Currently we are printing certified proofs on 2 Epson printers for the following print conditions, GRACOL 2013, SWOP, SNAP
newspaper and Fogra 39. Printed proofs from our facility can be used as color release target proofs for all major publications in the
US and Europe. We also use a Cannon 300 printer to simulate Snap printing conditions for the New York Times, printed on the
actual paper the NYT uses to print their daily newspaper.
